Paraty's International Book Fair (Flip) has taken place since 2013 and has already been consecrated the most important literary event in Brazil. During the five days of the event, Paraty's cobblestone streets are filled with visitors, writers and many intellectuals.
Every year, Flip honors a Brazilian author, aiming to spread the Portuguese Language and the Brazilian literature. Among lectures, debates and workshops, you immerse into the literary universe, always with discussions on art, culture and current themes.
The Tenda dos Autores (Authors’ Booth), the main space of the event, brings together illustrious national and international names who present their work, participate in round tables and give autographs.
Other parallel events are also part of the literary festival, such as Flipinha and FlipZona, with activities for children and teens, and Off-Flip, a circuit of ideas and saraus (poetry reading performances).
