Located in the General Port, a port area, in the downtown of the city of Corumbá, state of Mato Grosso do Sul, the Museum of History of Pantanal interactively portrays the colonization of the largest floodplain biome of the planet, from prehistory to the mid-1990s.

It is a charming place for those who enjoy antiquity and history. You are invited to take a historical tour through the permanent display of images and sounds that make you feel like you are really in Pantanal. And all the time you can find guides that are always ready to answer any questions.

Founded in 1876, the headquarters building stands out for its architecture and details such as iron stair and hydraulic tiles floor with colored mosaics. The museum was listed in 1993 by the National Historic and Artistic Heritage Institute (Iphan).

General Port gathers several historical buildings - all of them close to each other. Experience other historical beauties of Corumbá.
