The Prainha de Itacaré is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Brazilian coast and what stands out about it is the symmetry: there are two very similar hills covered by green vegetation, one North and one South of the beach, and at the center a coconut grove, providing a beautiful sight. In fact, the vegetation is a highlight in itself, as with most of Itacaré beaches.
Forget the bars, restaurants, shops and all those establishments that are usually found by sea front providing fun and excitement, on the beach, all day long. In Prainha, there is no such thing, except for a small shack that sells some fruit and drinks, bathrooms and showers, only the essential to spend the day. Attended by surfers, this is a rugged beach, with nature as the center of attention. This is once of the best places in Bahia to really relax.
Prainha is located on a private reserve and you will have to walk for 40 minutes to get there. The trail is rough and it is necessary to cross a waterfall, therefore, we recommend that you hire a guide.

Take a light lunch if you plan to stay the day, there are no vendors on site.
